Escoffier is owned by Golden Mermaid Hotels Pvt. Ltd, a newly established firm with a vision to become a leader in Hospitality Industry in Sri Lanka and to expand Escoffier as a Restaurant Chain within 2 - 3 years.

Escoffier is named after a French legendary chef Georges Auguste Escoffier (1846 –1935) who was a French chef, restaurateur and culinary writer, a legendary figure who popularized and updated traditional French cooking methods.
